Common-Law Partner Sponsorship
Sponsor your common-law partner with whom you've lived for 12+ months:
- 12-Month Requirement - Must have lived together continuously for at least 12 months
- Marriage-Like Relationship - Committed relationship similar to marriage
- Proof of Cohabitation - Joint bank accounts, lease agreements, bills
- Temporary Separations - Brief separations for work/family don't break continuity
- Social Recognition - Present yourselves as a couple to family/friends
- Financial Interdependence - Shared financial responsibilities and support
Conjugal Partner Sponsorship
For partners in committed relationships who cannot live together or marry:
- Exceptional Circumstances - Immigration barriers, legal restrictions, etc.
- 12-Month Relationship - In relationship for at least 12 months
- Cannot Marry - Legal, religious, or social barriers to marriage
- Cannot Live Together - Immigration status prevents cohabitation
